If you have lost your SBI ATM Card or Debit Card somewhere. Then you can block the card in the next 4 minutes with the help of internet banking.

  1. Visit the Official Website of the State Bank of India.

    The first thing you have to do to block your card online is to visit the official website of SBI. Keep in mind that you can block the card only by using the official website.   2. Click on the Login Button.

    After you visit or open the official website of the bank in the internet browser of your choice. Click on the “Login” button. You can find this button in the “Personal Banking” section of the page.Click on the Login Button on Homepage of SBI Online

  3. Enter your Username and Password.

  4. Click on e-Services.

  5. Click on ATM Card Services.

    All the e-Services that can be accessed online will be listed on your screen. Now you have to select “ATM Card Services” by clicking on it.Click on ATM Card Services in e-Services section of SBI Online

  6. Click on Block ATM Card.

    All the ATM Card or Debit Card related services will be listed on your screen. Here you want to block the card. So select “Block ATM Card” by clicking on it.   7. Select your Bank Account Number.

    Many people have more than one bank account with the bank. So now you have to select the bank account number whose card you want to block. Even if you have only one account with the bank. You will be asked to select the account number. Do it and click on the “Continue” button.Select the Bank Account Number and Click on the Continue Button

  8. Select the ATM Card to be Blocked.

    After you select your bank account number all the ATM Cards or Debit Cards that are linked to that account number will be displayed to you. Now you have to select the ATM Card which you want to block.Select the ATM Card to be Blocked in the ATM Card Services Menu in SBI Online

  9. Review the Selected Card and Block It.

    The card number will be displayed to you which you have selected. Now you have to select the reason why you want to block the card. You can find the reasons in the drop-down menu. And finally, click on the “Submit” button to block the card.Select the Reason Why You Want to Block the Card

Once you block the card it can not be used by anyone to perform any kind of transaction. The bank will not charge you anything to block the card.

But it will charge you for the new card that will be issued to you.

You need not pay anything by yourself. The charges for the new card will be automatically be deducted from the balance you have.
