If you have received a new ATM Card or Debit Card from the State Bank of India. Then you should activate it before you can use it. And you can activate the card online with the help of the internet banking portal of the bank.

  1. Visit the Official Website of the State Bank of India.

    When it comes to activating a new ATM or debit card you should keep one thing in your mind. And that is you can activate the card only using the official website the mobile banking app online.   2. Login to your account.

  3. Click on e-Services.

  4. Click on ATM Card Services.

    When you click on “e-Services” all the services of the bank that can be accessed electronically will be listed in front of you. Now you have to select “ATM Card Services” by clicking on it.Click on ATM Card Services in e-Services section of SBI Online

  5. Click on New ATM Card Activation.

    Just like the e-Services section, the ATM card Services will list all the ATM or Debit Card related services on your screen. Now you have to click on “New ATM Card Activation”.Click on New ATM Card Activation in SBI Online

  6. Select your Bank Account Number.

    All the bank accounts you have with SBI will be listed on your screen. Now you have to do is select the bank account number to which your new card is linked.Select the Bank Account Number and Click on the Continue Button

  7. Enter your New ATM Card Number and Click on Activate.

  8. Enter the High-Security Password and Click on the Submit Button.

    Now you will receive a high-security password on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on the “Submit” button.SBI Online High Security Password

By following these steps you will be able to activate your new card. But in order to use it for making transactions, you will have to generate a new PIN number.

Make sure that you never share your card details and the OTP with anyone. And no one from the bank will ever contact you asking for such details.
